BFFS Berlin Ungeschminkt: Recently, BFFS (German Association of Film and Television Actors) rolled out their city wide “Ungeschminkt”, or “naked” project. This time the city was Berlin and I, as all members of the association are, was invited to take part. These are really “about me” videos designed to give casting directors another tool with which to get to know us. Here’s my video in German with English subtitles.
During the Berlinale, I wrote and recorded a new scene as part of a workshop that I took with casting director, Aleta Chapelle. It’s called “The Other Child”. In it a mother explores her feeling of grief and regret. I love creating characters with several conflicts. People who are being pulled, either through their own devices or outside forces in several directions at once. I think this mother’s dilemma is a good example of this.
We wrapped filming on the feature film, 8 Doors, last Fall and it’s still in post production, but the director, Juliane Block, was nice enough to give me e copy of one of my scenes in advance. I play a woman who’s husband is having an affair. in this scene I confront my husband’s lover.
We wrapped the short film LIMBO several months ago. As I write it’s probably traveling the globe onto fame and glory on the festival circuit, at least I hope so. In the meantime, I’ve got a short snippet of a scene that I acted in with Wilfried Hochholdinger. We play two bereaved parents and one of us is trying to get on with her life while the other is stuck in… well, limbo. The scene won’t give away too much about the movie itself but hopefully will give some insight into me as an actress. Enjoy!
From the set of 8 Doors (www.8doorsmovie.com) directed by Julian Block. It’s as dangerous as it looks!

I’ve just been cast as a lead in the horror film, Scars of Xavier which will be directed by Kai E. Bogatzki. I’m very excited.
I have just been cast in a supporting role in the upcoming feature film 8 Doors! It’s written by LAURA SOMMER (aka LAURA WINTER) who has sold more than 300.000 copies of her novels in Germany. Her last book „Weiss – Die Farbe der Unschuld“ (volume 6) made it to #1 on Amazon Germany’s Kindle Bestseller list in a just one day, and is still ranging in the TOP 100. 8 Doors is Laura Sommer’s first feature film script. Producer/Director JULIANE BLOCK achievements include 2 feature films, more than 10 short films, music videos, commercials and travel documentaries. She has given lectures on different filmmaking subjects in various countries. Her work has been screened at festivals around the world and she participated in the Berlinale Talent Campus as film director in 2008. Her crowdfunding campaign ‘The Inner District’ won the Google sponsored Indiegogo competition ‘Gründergarage’ in 2012. Her feature screenplay ‘Foster’ was selected as one of the 25 finalists of the Screenplay Replay Contest in 2013.
The award-winning short film “Moments,” that I wrote and starred in with Jean-Luc Julien from Anika Films directing, is an official selection at the 2016 Blackbird Film Festival in New York. If you’re unable to attend the festival this month you can view the film online at https://zamoxis.com/short/2014-moments.
Playing Tina Finelli is an absolute blast! First of all, as Tina, I’m a Russian Diva – who wouldn’t want to wear that hat for a few weeks? Second, I’m in love with my Sitcom daughters, Gabriela Burkhardt as
